The Forum Veranstaltungswirtschaft is the alliance of major associations in the event-business sector:

BDKV (Federal Association of the Concert promoters and Event Industry e.V.)
EVVC (European Association of Event Centers e.V.)
ISDV (Professional association of Independent Service Providers in the Event Industry)
LIVEKOMM (Association of Music Venues in Germany)
VPLT (The Association for Media and Event Technology).

The goal of the alliance is to bundle networks, competencies and resources in order to be even more effective with this and through a joint appearance in political lobbying. The amalgamation of the essential sectors of the event industry does not see itself as an umbrella organization. Each partner continues to directly represent the specific interests of their industry. However, the intersections of the political expectations of the various sectors, such as the cultural, congress and conference organizers, event venues, event service providers and showman companies as well as manufacturers and dealers of event technology, are large and all sub-sectors are closely interlinked. Therefore, the alliance of the associations considerably increases the perception of the branch of industry by politics and the public.
